Hi my son has had fever 39.5 and now 38 for the last 4 days. Doctor said to wait up to the 6th day. He has cough and cold as well, he vomited the first day only and loose stools. I'm worried as fever does go down for a while and then go back up. What shall I do?

Sometimes these virus's take their course make sure he has fluids, if he gets worse take him back to the hospital ,Doctor is right it will take that long to improve ,Good Luck let us know how he is doing .
