4 year old with dizzy spells

Hi,

My daughter is 4,  for the last few months she has had dizzy spells every 1 to 2 weeks.  They are
very quick maybe 10 seconds,  sometimes she complains that her forhead hurts but again a few seconds.  She continues to play and it does not seem to bother her.  She had a cardiac workup and everything is great.  Today we seen a neurologist and I am scared.  He advised her dizzy spells can be seizures or a type of migraine.  She has and eeg amd mri this week.  Has anyine had this issue?

Has she eaten prior to the dizzy' spells , is that her description? I am wondering if she could have low blood sugar , (hypoglycemia ) Try giving her something sweet maybe a cup of juice and see how she feels then .I think its worth having the doctor check her out.good luck

Has she been sick?  Sometimes if a child has an issue with their inner or middle ear, they can become dizzy and the sinuses in the frontal lobe can be filled or inflamed.

I had an issue with my eustacian tube(in the ear) which made me quite dizzy.

Yes, in children seizures can look like a lot of different things.  Migraines are rare in children so I am told.  My son does have 'cluster' migraines though and he is 8.  It runs in our family.  It sounds like you are under doctor's care though----------  let us know what the mri shows and how your child is doing.  good luck
