lycoriss - reread my post. I don't know what you are reading there, but it wasn't a bad attitude.
There's the far outside chance she's right, seems unlikely, in any case she needs to see another doctor who will take her concerns more seriously so her child can get help.
That's what she needs to do.
WOW, I think you need to check your attitude! You are supposed to be here to help people not be a jerk. If you don't have something better to say than accuse a concerned mother of lying then you should just say nothing at all and find something useful to do.
Jessi,
I was a sick kid, sick all the time. I developed an autoimmune disease as a child and nearly died because my immune system was so weak. Then as an adult, I developed another autoimmune disease. I would recommend you see a new doctor and get things checked out just to be on the safe side. If his immune system is that bad he could easily catch something VERY bad. In the meantime, search around for some ideas of foods and vitamins to help boost his immune system naturally. Things that are ok for kids his age of course.
Good luck.
He sounds like he's had a lot of health issues, and you are right to be concerned.
But your post is confusing. I can't believe he's had chicken pox 3 times AND shingles before the age of 3 1/2. Really, that defies belief.
BUT. There are things that happen that do defy belief - and are so extremely rare that they catch the attention of the medical community and cause articles to be written for the JAMA.
And then, there are mothers who think things that don't make any sense at all. There are both things in the world.
Can you see a different doctor? Really, your post could be true but it's so odd that if it IS true, you need to see someone who will believe you.
