9 year old has low white blood count

My son started running a fever got as high as 103 with no other symptoms.  We went to dr and they ordered a cbc because back in 2009 we had the same symptoms and when blood work was done his wbc was 4.5.  This time his wbc is 3.3 mchc was 36.3 high rdwsd was 37.5 low platelets are 100 low band neutrophils are 11.00 high basophils 3.00 high abs lymph 0.63 low.  I am really concerned and have no idea why his bloodwork is abnormal.  Dr wants to test again in 3 weeks but I am having difficulty waiting.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be going on.

Thanks

Is he on any meds for anything else as they can effect the WBC he could have a vitamin deficiency, an infection.Really until the testing is complete it is hard to know what is going on , some people have a natural low WBC disposition .
