Accuracy of Bone Age

Accuracy of Bone Age

My daughter is 6 years 3 months old and has developed some breast tissue. The doctor asked for a hand wrist x-ray to determine the bone age. Bone age is 6 years 10 months. Her heigth is now 122 cm. He then calculated her future adult height at 163 cm. This really surprised us as both my husband and I are tall (180 cm, 181 cm). How is this possible and how accurate is this estimate at her tender age?

Furthermore, she had an ultrasound of her ovaries done. Apparently the womb is getting towards adult proportion and follicles are already building up. So she might enter precocious puberty. A blood test in two weeks time will reveal more. What shall we do if the blood tests show that puberty has already started?
