Another seven year old with reoccurring fever

My seven year old has had reoccurring fevers since february 2011.. it is now october 2011, high fevers up to 106 every 21-23 days to the point where i can now predict them, white spots on the back of his throat (always looks like the second pic here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharyngitis  ), sometimes headache and queasy, which i think is more due to high fever and is intermittent; fevers do respond to ibuprofen or acetemenophen.. antibiotics or not, they just resolve in 4-5 days. healthy and happy in between episodes, although often a bit fatigued.  mono tests are neg.. I posted a reply in the most recent thread on this (may 2011).. has anyone gotten any answers?  what happened to some of the kids from when this discussion started - diagnosis, or did the fevers just stop?  we are going back to the doctor for blood tests tomorrow - she hasn't taken it seriously until now, she was telling me it was just different viruses from school.. i will be asking her about PFAPA

Scientists have identified a new treatment for PFAPA syndrome in children .usually the only treatment has been the use of corticosteroids or  removal of the tonsils, here is a link as there is much up there about this   www.news-medical.net/.../Scientists-identify-new-treatment-to-comba...

doctor decided the blood tests support mycoplasma as a diagnosis.. i am not convinced and the symptoms don't really line up with what i read, plus he was on antibiotics most of the late winter and early spring..

It is possible that the anti biotics were not effective on mycoplasma or walking/atypical pneumonia..Did they give him a new med to take .Here's a link      www.rain-tree.com/myco.htm
