There should be an information leaflet in the box of medication. Read that, it should tell you what to do in the event of contraindications to the medication and in the event an overdose has been taken.
If your mother has not been taking the medication very long, she needs to stop taking it and contact her doctor urgently. You can also contact the pharmacist for advice and you can also find information on the medicine information leaflet what to do and who to contact when experiencing any side effects and any overdose.
An overdose is when someone takes too much of the prescribed medication all in one go.
If your mum has taken the medication as prescribed and has started to experience side effects, her body cannot tolerate the medication. This is not an overdose, but an adverse reaction to the medication.
I suggest your mother, or yourself contact your mother's doctor urgently for advice.
