Body Odor Since Birth

My 5 year old daughter has always had a musty body odor. We first noticed the odor when she was a few weeks old. The odor only comes from the underarm area. She is bathed every evening and we are extra careful to wash well underneath her arms. We notice the odor again first thing in the morning.

She has been checked out by her pediatrician and an endocrinologist. We are still waiting to hear back from the endocrinologist. He checked for precocious puberty and adrenal problems. She has no symptoms of either of these disorders, aside from the body odor.

She has been having tics for over a year now and was recently diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. She is otherwise healthy.

Could the odor be a sign of a metabolic disorder? Would we need to see a genetic specialist to test for this? I am also wondering if it could be a food intolerance.
I would prefer to be sure we aren't missing anything before I resort to using deodorant on my 5 yo.

Thank you!
