Children have EXTREMELY large stools regularly

2 of my children have extremely large stools at least 5 inches around and at least 8 inches long. I don't let my children drink soda or eat lots of sweets. I try to feed them foods high in fiber. It hapens every other day, sometimes more. sometimes there is red blood in the stool. i figure that was normal from straining a little. This has gone on since birth. Doc has not a clue. HELP!

You could also use Benefiber.  It has no flavor or texture, and is made from something natural (a bean, I believe).  Put it in their food every day.

It can be a food allergy. My children are allergic to pectin ( found in apples, apple juice all jelled food like Jello ,jelly beans,  jelly etc. ) Mineral oil will help. A tiny bit in their drink or even on a spoon will make it a bit easier to go.
