Cold, allergy or something else...what is going on with my newborn baby?

My little girl is 35 days old.
Two weeks ago she started having nose issues. We went to our
pediatrician right away and made all the necessary tests, both for her
and for us as parents. The blood picture was great for all of us, and me and my husband got negative bacteria tests. She had staphylococcus aureus in her nose, but the doctor said it wasn't anything serious and gave us CITERAL nasal drops which we gave her 3 times a day for 4 days.
This didn't help at all, she still has a lot of mucus coming out from her nose.
It is mostly white and tick, but sometimes (and only from the one side of the nose) it can get greenish. Her chest is clear (her doctor checks her every few days) and she coughs but very little and rare (only when her throat is irritated from the mucus that comes down from her nose and the throat isn't red either) She doesn't sneeze often (maybe 2-3 times a day maximum)
Her eyes aren't red nor watery. Our doctor says it is normal for a newborn to "clean" the nose especially in winter and in apartment where the air is dry.
She eats fine and gains weight, but she has problems sleeping. I am not sure is it because she is colic or because of the nose. She is wiping a little when i hold her.
This 2 days she seems a little better, she still has mucus but she seems to be breathing trough her nose.
My main question is:
We have a pomeranian which is a part of the family and lives in our apartment. Can the baby be allergic to the dog? Can these symptoms lead to that conclusion? How can we determine this?
Is it possible that there is nothing wrong with her and to still have nose issues? Please help us find our, we r desperate and scared!
Thanks in advance,
Jelena

My opinion is that it is doubtful the child is allergic to the dog, poms are short hair arent they so they dont shed,  but they can do allergy tests to determine this , not certain about a child so young ask your Doctor. It sounds as if her nose is blocked up at night and thats why she cant sleep, they sell those bulbs that you can use to suction out the mucus, most drug stores have them .It does sound as if she picked up a cold virus from someone , has she been near other children ? It will clear she is just full of cold , but shes eating so thats a good sign ..good Luck
