Cutting Teeth

My daughter is 7 months and cutting teeth. I've heard a lot of rumors about what to use on her gums.  Any suggestions?

The teething tablets did not work for us. He just spit them out and cried harder. I would give her frozen fruit or ice in a Fresh Food Feeder (it is a mess net that you can put food in it so they dont choke) from Target www.munchkin.com/products/detail.html?section=prodCategories&pID=37
and giver her Tylenol.

I use the teething tablets for my baby girl, but sometimes the pain is just to much and they don't work, so at times like that we have to resort to the baby teething gel...it numbs the gums for a short period of time so that they baby tylenol has a chance to kick in..so I would try that...Other  wise wet a washcloth, stick it into a plastic baggie and put in the freezer for a few minutes until its just slighty frozen, but still soft, then give it to her to chew on (minus the baggie of course)

My son and daughter both preferred teething on these hand held teethers that had different nubs and fingers at the top of them sort of like a toothbrush without the bristles, and nubs instead. Target sells them 3 different ones in a pak made by parents choice magazine.
