E-Coli is the bacteria that causes the U T I      is that what the doctor is saying?
Did Doctor give you any suggestions as to what is causing baby to get  ecoli bacteria?

Make sure your baby is drinking plenty of water and also I have read that Blueberry's and cranberry's help with UTI prevention they dont cure it but help with prevention. Here is a link I found To explain better to you Good Luck and i hope this helps.
