Ear Infection

Hello, my son is 3 years old and just now got his first ear infection.  His doctor perscribed amoxiphilan (sp?).  He never required any antibiotics in the past so I dont have much expirience with antibiotics.  Well, I gave him the medication for 6 days and on the 6th day I realized that I had to refrigirate the medication.  Stupid me, again, I've never given him any antibiotics and neither my husband and I realy ever took them so Im completely clueless when it comes down to medicine.  Anyway, I stopped the medication on 6th day and thought that maybe he'll be ok.  His ear infection was very mild to begin with.  Today 5 days later he told me that his ear hurt so I called his doctor and receive another script.  This time I will do it right, LOL.  So my question is does this put him into a risk of possibly having ear infections frequently or more prone to them.
He is such a healthy boy and I feel awful for not giving him the medications for the 10 days that was required.

my son had lots of ear infections and the pharmasist always tells me make sure your child takes all his medicine even if he feels better within a couple of days, because if you stop the medicine the ear infection will reoccur.  I also know if your give him a type of amoxicillan or penicillan type of medicine and he is also taking vitamins it can reduce the strength of the medicine.  give the vitamins 2 hours later.  I don't think because you missed the medicine the first time it means he will get another ear infection.  Every child is different.
