I noticed two pea sized lumps on the back of my 7 year old's head six months ago. Mono spot was positive but Ebstein Barr titers were negative, WBC slightly low, atypical leukocytes, chest X-ray negative. I was told it was probably just a virus. Now the two lymph node on his head have doubled in size and three more nodes can be felt on his neck that were not there before. Blood work now shows elevated monocytes which is new. Any ideas? Family doc is stumped. He suggests watching it longer or get a biopsy... Any advice appreciated..
