by rawallay, Sep 19, 2009 05:23AM
Hi, my doughter is 7 months old and her weight is about 8.82 pounds. She weight 7 lbs at the time of birth. Our Doctor got her tests which were all normal. I personally observed that she gain 100 grams of weight each month. though she is a PICKY eater, but, still a happy child. She has just started sitting now.

Kindly guid me please as the situation getting worse for me and I'm extremly worried about my baby

What foods are you giving her, is she having cereal in the morning with her milk, then a veg or meat meal at lunch time, milk with each meal, dinner same . they do get picky so persevere with her, when you are feeding her make it a games, make noises as you spoon the food into her mouth.Soon you will be able to give her finger foods they like that start with cheerios ..

I had a friends whose daughter did the same thing and it took a few years for her to finally gain the appropriate weight. she was trying to put the weight on her and the doctor said no test are showing anything just let her go she is healthy and that is all that matters.
I hope she will start gaining for you

To: Dear All,
Thank you for your valuable inputs. There may be some eating disorder which may cause baby not gaining proper weight/height.

We are doing our best to feed her by making meal time fun, adding different flavors/finger foods etc., but at the same time I would say that she eats up to 60-70% of the normal 6-8 months baby food.

On our last visit doctor suggested to check her Growth Harmon. Should we go for it?

Thanks
