Hi, I took my son to a specialist who told me not to worry about it. She mentioned that it could be stress induced and that we shouldn't dwell so much on it. Praise God, the facial spasms went away completely within one month and have not returned.
I pray all goes well with your daughter as well.
check for hypertension which means high blood pressure they may be at risk for a stroke if it's to high sometimes resulting in spasms.
I just stumbled upon this website, researching information for my 4 year-old who just started rapid eye blinking about a week ago. I am trying not to worry so much about it, though it is difficult! I read that it is common with 20 percent of the child population to experience some type of facial tic, I asked her if her eyes hurt, she said "no." I will just see if it continues or worsens, as well as measure the emotional impact. if it is a problem I am sure that she will tell me....also, we have her in a preschool that has had a a lot of turnover lately, she has had a total of 5 teachers in six months, we have noticed that she has stated that she doesn't want to go to school anymore....I wonder if it is stress and anxiety induced? thanks for reading this, and I hope that you son's facial spasms go away, I will pray for him and your family, God Bless!!!
Sorry that it has taken me so long to respond. The facial spasms seem to be decreasing, but sometmes it does involve rapid eye blinking. The facial spasms involve his mouth area.
what exactly does he do? rapid eye blinking, lip smacking, or like a twitch?
