Help please...I don't know what to do

My 15 month old son was diagnosed as failure to thrive (hypotonia) when he was 4 weeks old. Since the 2nd week of his life he has been vomiting up almost every feeding. At four months of age he was admitted to Childrens Hospital in C-Bus for aspiration, he was given a G-Tube because of this. He still throws up almost every feeding and has been given half a dozen different meds to try to help the vomitting. Recently he was taken off a med called metoclopramide because the GI Dr. wanted to try Eryped. My son has been on Metoclopramide for over a year and after taking him off the drug he has become ill with fevers and more vomiting and constipation. After some research it appears that this drug should not be used for more than 3 months. In the 15 months of my sons life he has been tested for everything under the sun that might cause the failure to thrive and throw ups and low tone. My question: What should I do? Do you have any ideas on how to help my son. Please help.

Has he been examined for insussusception?  A friend's daughter had one, and she got all kinds of diagnoses including allergies, etc.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intussusception_%28medical_disorder%29

He's never been tested for intussusception because he's always been a happy baby...he'll throw up a 6oz bottle and be happy and smiling after he done. He has been diagnosed with Reflux/GERD...but i don't know if that's right either..because again, he's always happy.

I don't remember my friend's child with intussusception as being unhappy.  She just threw up all the time.  Not that I am diagnosing your child, I have no idea if this is the problem, but it sounds like what she got from the doctors, i.e., a whole bunch of guesses and a whole lot of suspicion of milk allergies, etc. and it took forever for them to realize it was an intussusception.  I'd at least ask them why they *don't* think that is what it is.

Thank you Annie, I'm waiting on a call from Childrens Hosp. now....we're getting a second opinion from a different GI Dr. I'm going to ask about Intussuscetion.
