Inconsistent Vomiting 3 Month Old

Starting Last tuesday my 3 month old son started throwing-up.. three times on tuesday none on wed. once on thursday none on friday three times saturday and Yesterday. He has no fever, and nothing is different when he does throw up. It is now projectile ... It just flows. 1st dr said it was a virus ( on tuesday ) ...it's not. 2nd dr said it was stomach spasms gave him medicine and it didn't work AT ALL. Has anyone ever heard of this before?

i can say it's not spit up. It is EVERYTHING in his stomach that comes out. He doesn't eat that much in one sitting. Sometimes it's right after his feeding and soemtimes its three hours after his feeding. Also everytime he coughs twice and then out it comes...like a waterfall

Hi there.  My son started doing this around the same age......he is now 10 months......

I can tell you that it was directly related to when I fed him formula.......he just couldn't handle the milk protein......he would projectile vomit ........sometimes I would feed him and then he would fall asleep so I put him to bed.......he would wake up coughing and then that would trigger a puke episode.....

I changed his formula 4 times.......poor kid.......finally using Similac Alimentum seemed to help quite a bit......for several months....no more puking.....yea.......but then he developed a sensitivity to that as well......I just got a prescription from the Pediatrician to switch him to Pasterized Goats Milk.  Meyenberg Brand goats milk is awesome.  I had to do this for my now 6 year old around the same age.......completely and immediately resolved his issues (the same one) also.

This is a chemical reaction/food allergy as I learned with both my boys.......at least it was for us.......hope this helps

My oldest did this as well.  We had her on way too many formulas before figuring out what can help.  Regardless, Good Start and Gentle Ease are good if it is a milk protein thing.  But, I had to use Neutramogen with her because it had the proteins broke down farther.

Have you talked to your baby's doctor?  I just ask because it could be reflux (my daughter was diagnosed with this 2 and a half years after it started). There are a few other medical things it could be but talking to his doctor would be a start.
