Kleinfelters syndrome

Kleinfelters syndrome

My 3 & 1/2 year old grandson was just diagnosed with Kleinfelters syndrome. He has a huge speech delay. Only says a few words . He has been in private speech therapy (once a week) for about a year. He is enrolled in the local disabled preschool class (six children to one teacher & one aide). He goes all day five days a week. He is very cooperative, likes school and has been making some improvement. His parents are having more testing done for autisim etc. My question --- are there different methods of teaching delayed speech development, if it is due to the Kleinfelters syndrome, as opposed to other types of speech dysorders?  One health web site states that xxy boys with poor verbal skills should be taught by professionals who have experience working with boys who have Klinefelter syndrome.

I am 43 years old and have KS.  I have not experienced speech problems, although I can tell you that early in my life I did take a few seconds to complete my sentences.
