Low WBC, MPV, and Neutrophil # of 11 yr old male

Hello to you all...I recently took my 11yr old son to the Family Practice doctor with several concerns:
Bruising which lasts for greater than 4 weeks, joint pain (mainly knees and ankles), headaches, fatigue, petichae
Doctor made me feel like I was an overprotective mom, just looking for something to be wrong, this is so not the case!!!!  I know my son and I know something isn't right.  Anyways, I asked for bloodwork to be done at the very least so he ordered a CBC, Chem Panel and TSH.  The results of the CBC, at WBC 2.8 L   (ref: 4.8-10.8),       MPV 7.1 L  (Ref 7.4-10.4)  Eosinophil % 7.1 H (Ref 0.0-5.0) and Neutrophil # 1.2 L (Ref 1.8-7.7)  Alk Phos 196 H (Ref 28-122)...The doctor never called to go over these results, so I got them myself, I called the office and his nurse said that there was nothing to worry about but that the doctor wanted a CBC rechecked in 4-6 wks.  Is this standard protocol or am I being brushed off?  Should I get a second opinion?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
