Lump behind child's ear

My 2 year old daughter has a hard lump behind her ear that is not painful to touch. I'm scared that it may be something bad. Has anyone else had this experience and did it turn out to be okay???

When you say behind her ear do you mean low just above her neck or exactly behind the ear, could be a lymph node could be a cyst, I suggest you ask the doctor what it could be .
