i have a 12 year old son who has a small pea sized lump under his left nipple. what could this be? should i take him for a medical exam?

i am a 16 year old male and i also have a peas sized lump under my right nipple, however its not to tender to touch. it is a little sore. i am wondering if breast cancer is a concern? should this be a worry. i am not currently worried about it too much. sorry for rambling on your post i just thought i would like to know as well. your son is not alone.
