Multiple Daily Bladder Contractions/Rare Bed Wetting

My 7 y.o. is awaiting a pediatric urology appt but is currently taking oxybutynin 10 mg. After months of her primary thinking it was vag related, a ped gyn dx'd bladder contraction/spasms. These are daily... all day... and now waking her in the night. She is going half crazy from the constant discomfort, which she eases by pressing on her vag area. This is interfering, of course, with her everday life. Most other posts I read include bed wetting and loss of urine as a cooresponding symptom but this is not that frequent. She does urinate more often than my other child and cannot hold her urine long if she needs to go. Bed wetting/loss of urine may happen once every few months. Is there anything else to be done to stop these spasms? She is crying "Please mommy make them stop" and I am, like so many parents, heartwrenched because I have no idea what else to do. Please help if you have any suggestions. Thank you..

Put this question on to the Expert/Doctor forum for a better answer, I am wondering if the med is making it woorse so take her back and tell the Doctor what you have said here, ask him can she come off the med or differant dosage  or take something else.
