What were the doctors's findings?
My 11 year old spit up about two table spoons of blood two to three time a day for the pass three days. She is not coughing, and there is no mucus mixed with the blood. I took her to her pediatrician he referred me to an ENT, the ENT referred me to gastro. specialist. her lungs and sinuses are clear. today they will do a CAT scan. if they can not find a source for the blood that will put her to sleep and each specialist will take a deeper look. (will update soon)

Well okay if it keeps happening take him back.If he seems worse with a fever or cough take him back . Good luck
Strep came back negative the dr thinking maybe it's just sinuses which was my first thoughts, anyway just said to keep an eye on him!
There seems to be a lot of strep around this year and last ..kids are really a lot sicker ..hope hes okay ..
Headed to dr they said they think it's probably strep so will let ya know!
Well of course I understand but spitting up blood is important enough to be checked out as there usually there would be other symptoms like cough, fever as in pneumonia and tb and bronchitis.good luck
K thanks I usually tend to be very worrisome, and him being an 11 yr old boy tends to try and get out of school often so I have started trying to not jump to conclusions. lol
I think that if it were me I would get him checked out it could be something called hemoptysis, he needs a lung evaluation in my opinion . Good luck let us know how he id doing .
