PEDIATRICS COMMUNITY
Orange one year old.

Orange one year old.

I'm getting very frustrated with the medical community, There are going to be some issues that occur within thehuman body that is yet unknown but regardless SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED and have the proper time spent on thier celint. My Daugther is now one years old and she is ORANGE!!! She has been off solids for 3 weeks now or more. When on solids she wasnt being feed as much as doctors think of the solids that can cause the coloring to change of a child.  she eats table food and I dont feedher anything that can do what solids can do.  Her ears have frequent issues and yet over looked anyhow thats not my issues. I'm trying to now do my own research for what is causing her color to be this way.

She has had blood taken to test her thyroid, suger levels and other things. Most people and even doctors mention to be she is little orange. She appears other wise ( to doctos ) healthy so i guess they are being lazy about this. It's not a normal coloring. I know this topic will sound angry to some  but I'm just having a hard time with Doctors finguring out the problems and treating it properly even with my own health so I guess i need to do their Job and research put Ideas that COULD be into thier mind. So i was wondering has anyone heard of this, experienced this read about it ?  Please help if you have any ideas that would be very appreciated. Thank you all in advance who reads this and has advise. God bless

ps she has been orange for a long time now this just didnt start. It's been that way.

Can I ask what she has been eating? for orange skin coloring it can be caused by certain foods, like pumpkin, carrots, etc. (called Carotenemia)  There is also Jaundice, but that's more of a yellowing of the skin. Hyperpigmentation could be a reason as well. good luck.

Hey Sweetpea!

Thanks so much for the reply, she is on table foods i feed her rice and banans she eats chicekn, ravioli ( i thought the tomatoe sauce was doing it ) The doc said no not tomatoe sacuse. I feed her oakmeal, applesause etc. She really isnt eating anything that can do that. She has been orange for a while family memebers notice it and doctors point it out. They say its not jundance. another thing people mention is she is a biracial baby but my husband is biracial also and he was not this color. I dont think it has to do with that. She was boardline jundance when she was born but the doc said she isnt jundance now. I check out the hyperpigmentation and it comes from dieases one is from Addians diease which describes sweating alot and she does that too but i cant think she has all of this other wise she ppears healthy and i think thats why the doctors are pushing us out the door instead of researching to help us.

Her blood test and all that came back normal. Sugar level was high but she didnt fast before the  blood test. I would not have worried but each doctyor will bring this up and now its concering because i've taken notice and my child is orange. Very strange and is alerting. Thanks so much for the advise. I appreciate yuou deeply.
