Pain in abdomen then groin for a ten year old?

He started by having pain in the left abdomen, and motrin helped slightly. Then, while the pain disappeared from that area after a couple of weeks, it seemed to move downward to his left groin area. He's okay of he sits for a while, but then moving around after brings the pain back. Motrin helps slightly. No other health issues. Immediately previous to this starting, he had a stomach virus for one day, constantly in the bathroom.

My son had something similar . . .  guess what it was.  We wound up in the ER where an X Ray was taken.  My son WAS having regular bowel movements but unknown to me, he was still constipated.  He had fecal matter impacted in his bowel!  And again, he was going number 2!  But this was still going on.  They gave him an enema in the hospital.  We left with a recommendation of more fiber and to drink a cup of grape juice every day.  Try some grape juice and see if perhaps this constipation problem is happening with your child. good luck
