Are you breast feeding your baby or is the child on formula as the answer may lay there, no laxative and I agree that the doctor is the best advice to obtain. Is  baby eating plenty,?...

Hi there -

We just want to strongly urge you to speak to your doctor before giving baby ANY meds, and if baby isn't having bowel movements, the doctor needs to evaluate this.

I hope baby is okay.

Call the doctor tonight if they are pushing you to give this to the baby.  An infant of three weeks should be given NOTHING that is made for a 2- to 5-year-old without DIRECT medical instruction.

Do not give a 3 week old baby a laxative without talking to his pediatrician.
