Petechiae

Hi,

My daughter is 9, healthy very active kid, no health issues has
not been sick at all in the last year(knock wood).
Yestersay I noticed an area on her thigh of Petechiae
It swept arounf her thigh in a strip.  I am sorry I even started
reading about this, I see the word Leukemia and I am freaking
and just called the pediatrican for an appt.  Is this something of a concern?
She play ice hockey, lacrosse and soccer and thought maybe something hit her.
Should I be very concerned,  it has never happened before.  Should I demand
bloodwork?

I doubt that it is a problem and it is just discoloration of the skin from bleeding. She is an active child and most likely got a bit banged up from the sports and it's showing up now. I used to get bruises and red spotted areas all the time from soccer. Just have the doctor look at it, and I'm sure she's fine.

Thanks, the doctor sent us for bloodwork this morning to rule out a blood clotting issue.  She is pretty sure its nothing.
