Prescription procedures for children

My son's pediatritian prescribed Vyvanese on December 17, 2010 without having a clinical diagnosis.  She stated that she based her decision on information provided by his mother.  Considering the risks with this drug, what options do I have in making sure this prescription is cancelled until an accurate diagnosis is confirmed?

Do you have joint custody as you may have a say in what he is prescribed, as Annie has said it looks like some legal advice needs to be sort Good Luck

Are you saying that the child is not living with you, and you want to reach out into the medical system to cancel a prescription the mother is getting for the child until the child is seen by a doctor?  I would guess that has to be done through a lawyer; you would have to make a case before a judge that the child is being harmed.
