Risks of Lupron on bone age past 11

by GlynisABJ, Aug 12, 2009 11:12PM
My daughter is 6 yrs 9 mo.  Her bone age as read by the radiologist is 11.5 yrs and as read by the endo is 11 yrs.  We were told Lupron on a bone age past 11-11.5 can actually inhibit bone growth rather than help it.  I'm finding nothing in form of research on this.
I did find some research to show a low dose of estrogen with the lupron could help with height growth.
My daughter is currently 4 ft 7 inches, which is a VERY tall first grader.  She has stage II-II breasts, leg hair and pubic/underarm hair began, but not much.

This discussion is related to Lupron/Puberty.
