Seizures

My 5 month old daughter has been having seizures for two months, the first started with a febrile seizure, then three more after that that are not febrile related. Her blood work, MRI, EEG's have been negative. We recorded three minutes of her last seizure activity that lasted over twenty minutes, for which diastat was given rectally. The Dr. has no answers and with him viewing the last episode, has now indicated he does not think they are epileptic in nature. My husband and I are so lost. Her seizures start by involuntary twitches and then her whole body is involved, and her eyes twitch, her breathing increases. Her Keppra is not working, but the Dr. is keeping her on the medication. Any body have any of this experience? We don't know what to do.

Have you taken her to a pediatric neurologist? I would go for a second opinion, since the treatment(medication) really isn't working. There are a number of anti seizure medications that can be tried, though take her to another doctor to see what they say. good luck!
