Skin redness on face,hands and legs

Hi,

My son is 4 1/2 months old now. I give him a bath daily morning. He is having dark red cheeks and chin. He also has bumpy rashes on the back side of his hands and legs. The rashes on the face and hands is increasing day by day. Also there are circles around his nipples. His pediatric has prescribed Econazole nitrate cream 1%. I am using it since 4 days. I have observed that the skin is becoming more and more dry on hands. I would like to know if the cream is working? As such I don't see any difference after 4 days of using the cream. How long it usually takes to see any difference. The rashes and severely itchy. His pediatric has told to apply only moisturizer for his face and the same cream cannot be applied for face. Please help me out and let me know what best I can do to cure for his red cheeks and the patchy itchy rashes on his hands and legs. Also I have started using Aveeno moisture lotion and body wash from 1 week. Will that be any good?
