Small Skin Growth outside my toddler's anus

Hi,
I have 2 daughters 6 and 2.  Both of them have a small, hard skin growth right outside their anus.  I've taken the older one to the doctor and they said that it's a skin tag and that it's nothing serious but I've noticed that they complain of it bothering them when they are tired or stressed and it looks bigger sometimes.
Can anyone tell me what this is?

If the doctor says it is a skin tag, it is probably a skin tag.  The other possibility might be a hemmorhoid.  If you don't believe the doctor, ask for a referral to a different doctor or a dermatologist.
