Stomach Pains

My 2 month old son has severe GER. He's on Reglan and Prevacid. Doing much better on both medications. But in the past 2 weeks he just screams during feedings to the point of wearing himself out that he wont eat. When he does want to eat it takes me 45 minutes to get him to finish a 3oz bottle with 1tbsp of rice cereal. He's on Soy and has tried Alementum as well. I've taken him to the pediatrican and Gastro doctor many times and they tell me that he's gaining weight so he's healthy. He cries ALL day long. What could this be and how can I help him ?

Big hug for you. I know it must be difficult to see your baby in pain. I am a registered nurse and a mother. I don't even want to guess why your precious child is having so many problems with feeding. Good for you for hanging in there, I know it must be stressful. My suggestion is that you go see another gastro doctor, even if you have to start with another pediatrician to get there. That would be 2 second opinions. That is what I would do. There's nothing more important than your child so what else is there to do with your time but make sure that you are doing all that you can do. One glimmer of hope though. Baby's usually grow out of these things and hopefully this stressful time will not last long. You're doing a great job.
