Strep rash or allergy

My daughter was diagnosed with ear infections and was given a script for Amoxicilin. At the time she also had a sore throat, but the Dr didn't deem it necessary to test for step throat. Two days later my daughter broke out into a full body rash. It was rough like sandpaper, and very red. I took her to urgent care where it was determined that it was a strep rash. They also swabbed for strep and the test came out positive. Now my son has had the same thing happen: ear infection and then rash. Does this truly sound like a strep rash, or could this be a reaction to the Amoxicilin?

If the test was positive on your daughter I would say it is strep, it could also be Amoxicilin ,  perhaps a good idea to take them both back to get the answer .good luck
