Sweating with Smell, Pale, Lethargic

My 8 year old son has been very lethargic off and on since a couple of summers ago.  It's been increasing since August of last year.  For example, he often falls asleep in the doctor's office or on the way home from school.  He gets about 11 hours of sleep a night.  His TSH, IgG and other immunology labs came back just fine, and his blood sugar is normal (though he can't make antibodies to pneumococcal).  When I picked him up from day care today he was asleep in the active play room and was soaked in cold sweat.  He was also very pale and looked dazed.  He did not have a fever.   He has been complaining about pain behind his right eye since August as well.  I took him to his pediatrician in August who referred us to an opthamologist who said his vision was not impaired other than what it normally is.  He's been complaining off and on tonight about being alternatively sleepy, his stomach hurts, and  then saying he can't sleep and that he doesn't feel good.  My son is also High Functioning Autistic which sometimes makes discerning a problem difficult.  He's really not eating now.  

The sweat smelled....odd.  I really can't explain it.  At first I thought he had a BM, but it really didn't smell like that....This is not the first time he's soaked himself in sweat like that without a fever.  Does anyone have any clues as to what's going on?  His Pediatrician is not very consistent:  either she waits very long to address a problem, or wants you to go to the Emergency Room.  I can't take off work again right now.....
