Syncope

My son keeps having blackouts.  2-3 times a week.  Even if he does not black out, he seems dazed.    We have done an MRI, EEG, EKG, Echocardiogram, Xrays, blood work, etc.  He is currently on a heart monitor for 30 days and is taking Fludrocort.    So far all the tests are coming back normal.   He was initially diagnosed with vasovagal syncope in March of 2013.  At that time it was only the one episode.  As of January 2014 they have increased to 2-3 times a week.  Has anyone ever dealt with these symptoms and been successfully treated?     What other tests could we consider to find the cause of these episodes?

Thank you for your reply!!!   It can be before or after eating.  I have questioned the doctor about low blood sugar because it does run in family.   We have done a test in the office that came back normal.  We had some new symptoms within the last few days that have to do with his muscles in the neck. When barley touching the pressure points on his neck  it caused him to become dizzy once and dazed another time.   I have called all his doctors and they recommend an ear nose and throat specialist.  Hopefully they will be able to give us some answers.

sorry hit the send too quickly ...I ask about eating as Low blood sugar can have nasty symptoms ...you could give him a sweet drink of juice and see if it makes him feel better and ask for a sugar level test
