Very Small Child

I have a 22 month old daughter who is very small for her age. She weighs only 20 pounds and is only 30 inches long. I was receiving regular prenatal ultrasounds and she was even small prenatally. She was born full term at 5lb 1oz and about 18 inches. As you can see, she hasn't had great growth since birth so I don't think it was a placental issue. Her father and I are normal height: he's 5'10 and I'm 5'4 and our other children are average or above average height. The only other strange symptom she has is chronic diarrhea, which she has had since birth. In all other aspects she seems perfectly normal. Does anyone have any idea why she is so small? I was thinking possibly Turner's although she has no other symptoms besides short stature. Any other ideas?

I agree with you and I think another opinion would be in order,I would feed her full fat foods, whole milk, cheese, good carbs, if you research they do lists of foods that can put weight on .what is her energy like does she play and run ,the diarreha is something should be addressed as something is causing it, could be an allergy .so thats the first thing to get sorted out I am surprised this Doctor thinks that's normal

I try to feed her plenty of healthy foods but she gets her share of junk food too. I don't restrict her diet at all and offer food several times a day. The doctor says some kids are just small and as long as she's growing it's not a problem. But frankly, I just don't believe her. It makes no sense to me that she would be SO small.
