a milia type rash all over stomach, shoulders, thighs, and calves
My 4 month old son has what looks like multiple milia all over his stomach and and thighs and calfs and on the top of his shoulders. It suddenly appeared 4 days ago. I thought it was a heat rash at first. They are white bumps with a sand paper feel, Looks just like milia (like on the face) but more of them, I'm wondering if it's an allergic reaction to something I've eaten as he is solely breastfed.
does sound like an allergic reaction, but maybe to something he came in contact with. possible that an article of clothing or blanket didn't get rinsed well enough in the wash? certainly get into the pediatrician, but in the meantime, try some aveeno baby wash.
