alkaline phosphphatase

my 22 month old daughter has been having digestive issues. Diarrhiea, little wet farts, extremely stinky. We started running tests and found she has an alkaline phosphatase level of 1756 she also has had stool tests that revealed fat and carbs in her stool. I am awaiting results from a 72 hour quantative stool test but cant get any real answers from my doctors. What could all these tests mean? All other levels in blood were pretty much with in range maybe a tanth off.

Thankyou
A nervous mom

Thankyou for your feed back. Having a direction to ask the doctors about is nice. I will keep you posted on diagnoses as I know.

the diarrhea is consistent with steatorrhea that is seen with chronic cholestasis.  the elevated alkaline phosphatase must be addressed--we must exclude biliary atresia.
