blood in stools 3 year old

hi
just worried about my son who is 3 years old, he has had blood drops (4 or 5 drops of blood) just before releasing bowl, the blood is not on or in the stools ( tested stool sample and was neg for blood) he has had this 2 twice in a week, once the blood was on his trousers only a drop or 2, its fresh blood red not dark. hes active as he normally is not constipated and has no pains or problems going toilet. blood tests were done and was told they are fine, was told blood tests for fbc were fine seems slightly anemic, any ideas what it can be? what options and tests are available to check?
thank you in advance
m

Hi the dr said he is fine hes not had blood since then, unsure what it is. Could it be due to maybe he was straining that day?
