blood with stool

My daughter has been having blood with her poop in the stool, and i don't know what is wrong?
what should i do?

also to note... bright red stool thats say streaked... normally means new blood and possible straining.. black stool is older blood..

most doctors will suggest you give the child some fruit/fiber
atleast this is what my doctor did..

There's a couple reasons for blood in the stool - any child with blood in stool should see a physician. One thing to note is whether it's bright red or dark red (often black in appearance). If it's bright red, it's probably an intestinal issue whereas if it's black it may be a stomach issue. The doctor will probably ask you this so I'd keep an eye out. If it gets any worse or continues, don't hesitate to get to a pediatrician - could just be constipation but they can make sure

not sure how old your child is but you could try some prune juice, it could just be from the child straining
