breastbone

Hi
my grand daughter is 21months and it looks like she has no breastbone.It is all sunk in where it should be.any ideas why this is and what we can do

sounds like a pectus. her doctor doesn't say anything about it. another name for pectus is funnel chest a sunken chest. my 5 year old has a mild one and it is slowly getting worse.
I am not sure really what it could be just a thought
