ear pain

My son was kicked in the ear.  I took him to an urgent care clinic where they cleaned some blackish wax from the ear, said there was no blood or punctures of any type and sent us home.  He is continuing to have severe pain and can't sleep.  He also won't eat as he says it hurts to open his mouth.  What could this be?

Jaws can be dislocated as well.

I'd take him to your regular doctor or an emergency room to be evaluated again.  good luck

Hi there.  Did they make sure his jaw is okay and not fractured?
