i have a 2 week old infant and i noticed she has this extremely hard vein shaped ridge on the right side of the back of her head.i thought at first maybe its her skull settling back into place as i did have a vaginal delivery but i took her for her 2 week check up today and told her peds doctor about it and when he checked it he siad he didnt know what it was and then asked if they used forceps during the delivery? it was a natural vaginal birth with no assistance however i did push for about 2 hours. he then asked another doctor in the practice to give her opinion and she asked the same thing about the forceps. all they ended up saying was that it could be a hematoma from trauma from the delivery and theyll keep their eye on it and look at again at the 6 week visit. to me it very alarming that they didnt know that it was and didnt seem concerned by it. im so scared she could have an intracranial bleed or something. i need to mention i was on lovenox through out the entire pregnancy and then heparin the 4 last weeks, i told this to the peds doctor but it didnt seem to intrest him. how do i know its not something serious? should i go for a 2nd opinion?
