lipoma

my 2 month old has a fatty little bump smaller than the size of a pea on her head. My doctor say's it's nothing to worry about, however, I have been doing my own research and I chalked it up to it being a lipoma. I want to go for a second opinion to a pediatrician instead of our family doctor, but i am afraid the pediatrician will tell me the same thing and say not too worry about it. And with what I have read about lipoma's they grow very slowly and they are non- cancerous, but when I asked my doctor if it could be removed she said it could make things worse. So is my daughter going to have a huge lump on her head when she's older? Can it be removed with out it coming back, and why does this exists? Can you please set my husband and my mind at ease... Or should it be looked at more closely?

thank you
