lump on bk of childs neck

i noticed a lump on the back of my sons neck ive had him at the drs numerous occassions and been told its some kind of insect bite but a didnt agree now over the last few days its become more red in color and swollen it doest hurt or bother him really but it looks aggresive (aggressive) and sore
