new born baby's kidney problem

hey this saravana from india my new born baby (12 days)has swelling with his left kidney his rt kidney is normal his left kidney is relatively bigger in size with the right one,we came to know this when my wife is 8 months pregnant,we got a scan check with him right now after his birth,he still has that problem everything is perfect with his health he pisses more than twice or thrice every hour no problem with his urination too n he weighs 3.25kg,i'm really clueless n i'm suffering a lot cos of this problem to my child is this a dangerous issue or its easily curable pls help thanks in advance for ur valuable infos

Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy..there is much out there regarding kidney size in babies.I can understand your concern   I looked through several articles and found this one helpful   www.livestrong.com/article/263371-kidney-size-in-children/    may I ask what the Doctor thought did he give you any information ?

Thanks for ur wishes he wants me to meet an urologist i'm taking my son by tomorrow,i'l let u know what he says.actually my pediatrician says that its not exactly a big trouble it might be cured thru antibiotic medicines or may be it'l take a minor surgery to fix it but still i'm afraid of things happening cos doctor did not concluded things

I know I can imagine it worrying for you, good you are seeing a specialist, you will learn more.From what I researched its not uncommon for one kidney to be larger.Will wait to hear the results ..good luck
