please help very worried mom

by jobean10207, May 07, 2009 08:46AM
my son was recently diagnosed with an ear infection in both ears. he had a fever off and on for a couple days. since then, he seems to have lost his appetite and seems to be sleeping more than he normally did. it used to be a struggle at nap/night time. i took him to the doctor yesterday, and she said his left ear looked fine, and his right ear was still a little pink. it was the worst. is it normal to not eat, or sleep more? these are both signs of cancer which has me freaked out. he hasn't lost weight at all in fact he had gained from the last time he was at the doctor. i am very worried as he just isn't actng like himself. he has brief periods of extreme fussiness. other than that he eats a couple bites of foo and spits it out. and seems to be always tired. please someone help. he was perfect until he was diagnosed with this ear infection. and now al of a sudden all this is happening. i need some advice im extremely worried about him.

it's normal to have a change in eating after an infection and his body is worn out from fighting it off, so he can be sleepy a lot.
