scoliosis treatment

hi my name is gabriel . i am 13 years old am from georgetown guyana  . i have scoliosis not sure about the degree but its great . in my country there is no place that the surgery can be done and my family cannot afford to send me abroad to get the surgery done its getting really painful an difficult to live with how can you help me

If you put that you need some financial help for surgery into the search engine you may come up with some of the Hospitals here that do provide help for children, I cannot advise you which one , I will also take a look to see if there is any programme . Put this question also onto the expert/Doctor forum .

i have been to a doctor but i have severe scoliosis which surgery alone can correct the curve and there is no where in guyana that do those kind of surgery so i have to travel abroad its financially hard to do so and im asking kindly for someone help to do so . i hate the way i look and it also pains alot so if anyone out there think they can help PLEASE HELP ME!!!

hi Gabriel I am sorry you are in pain, there are treatments for scoliosis and there are degrees of it, you say you believe it is great, so have you seen a doctor that is the first step, in some cases a brace is used .We do have a back pain forum on Med Help where there may be more help for you, check out the forums we also have the expert Doctor forums on the right of the forums page .It may not be surgery it needs specialist advice Good Luck
